2013 San Francisco International Wine Competition
We first released this wine 2 years ago to rave reviews. As the inventory dwindeled, we pulled some and set it aside for the express purpose of re-releasing it in the future to our Wine Club Members!
This is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from both the Hill Country and High Plains. We used three of our best High Plains vineyards to supply part of the Cabernet. The rest of the Cabernet, as well as the Syrah portion of this blend, were grown at the Becker Vineyards in Stonewall and Mason County.
Aromatics: Hints of violet, tobacco, toasted oak, dried cherry
On the palate: Deep red fruit with complex tannins, hints of toasted vanilla and coffee
Pairing: Beef and Lamb, hard cheeses, heavy cream style soups
