Spice followed by brown spice and wonderful floral notes, offer perfume that will not stop. After which, a lingering finish of red fruit and subtle hints of chocolate coffee await you.
We source the grapes from vineyards across the Texas Hill Country and High Plains specifically for this light-bodied red wine. Each of these vineyards and varietals is carefully selected for this blend, allowing us to always provide the best wine lots for the popular blend.
Fermentation begins with 5 - 8 days of cold soaking followed by a slow start to allow further extraction of the bright fruit character that is so important for our Prairie Rotie. Aging in predominately American Oak barrels with a smaller amount of French Oak, allows us to accent the Texas Terroir.
Aromatics: Dried rose, coriander and earth with hints of toasted vanilla
On the palate: Cranberry, dried Bing Cherries, clove all spice with lingering tannins and coffee on the back palate
